Create folders for different parts of your life. Assign each guardian access to specific folders. Your spouse might see everything. Your business partner sees only business. Your kids see family photos but not financial details.
Some things don't need to survive you. Mark folders as private, and they're permanently deleted when Infinity Protect activates. Automatic cleanup, no awkward discoveries.
How long without a check-in before handover begins? 30 days? 90 days? A year? You choose what makes sense for your life.
Check in regularly – a tap on your watch, a click in the app. As long as you're checking in, everything stays locked.
Miss enough check-ins, and the process begins. First, you get reminders. Then your guardians are notified. Finally, they can combine their keys to access what you've left them. Private folders are gone. The right people see the right things.
The Technology
Infinity Protect uses Shamir's Secret Sharing – a cryptographic technique that splits your recovery key into pieces. No single guardian has enough to unlock your vault. They must combine their pieces, and only the right combination works.
Your vault isn't protected by one key that could be stolen or lost. It's protected by a threshold of keys held by different people.
We don't have a piece of the key. We can't recover your vault. We can't override your guardians. The system is designed so we're not a dependency.
Depending on your tier, you can have 3-7+ guardians with different thresholds. Two of three must agree. Three of five. You configure the security model.
